The usage of Geosynthetics for civil, geotechnical and environmental throughout the international Mining and Mineral Processing Industry is constantly increasing since many years and has performed well in many projects. Key constrains are the long service life expectations and the cost effectiveness compared to alternative engineering methods. In particular HDPE and PP lining systems (Geomembranes), often in combination with Geosynthetics Clay Liners (GCL), finds its application in heap leach and liquid containment facilities (drainage waters, process solutions, treatment ponds). Further Geomembranes are used for tailings and other solid waste storage facilities.

In addition Geogrids are utilized to face the engineering challenge of stabilizing the road infrastructure for heavy transport in soft soil areas.
